Meet Up: Global Investing Using Single-Country Equity ETFs
Presenters, one of whom comes from a multibillion-dollar investment company providing single-country equity ETFs and another from a boutique investment management firm that uses single-country equity ETFs in portfolio management, will describe reasons that convinced them and their companies to focus on these securities. They will talk about advantages that these ETFs offer in portfolio construction and management. The presenters will comment on features that differentiate single-country ETFs from individual equities and broad-based indices, and differences in investment processes that these features call for. The presenters will talk about growth potential for single-country equity ETFs and the inevitable adoption challenges these relatively new financial instruments face in the marketplace. The presenters will also talk about less common applications of single-country equity ETFs in such areas as impact investing, investing in countries during and after major crises, and others.
