Meet Up: April Special Situations Investing
Special situations are corporate actions which could reveal an undervalued security and hence an investment opportunity. Some examples of special situations are spinoffs, liquidations, tender offers, and restructurings. In this meet-up, we will discuss one current spin-off: KLX Energy Services (KLXE) and one upcoming spin-off Madison Square Garden (MSG). After the KLXE and MSG discussion concludes, there will be an open discussion about other interesting special situation investment ideas.
Richard Howe, CFA, is founder of Stock Spin-off Investing, a website focused on identifying undervalued stock spin-offs.
