Thomas Kwan, CESGA

Harvest Global Investments
Thomas Kwan is CEO and CIO of Harvest Global Investments, responsible for the company’s business development and investment platform. He is also Head of ESG of the parent Harvest Fund Management, leading sustainable investing initiatives of the group.
Recognizing the unstoppable rise of sustainable investing in Asia as well as China’s decisive transition to sustainable growth, Thomas has built ESG research and investment capability across Harvest platforms since 2018, making Harvest a pioneer and leader of sustainable investing among Chinese asset managers.
Thomas is a veteran investor with over 20 years’ asset management experience in Asia. He started his career in 2000 with stint at First State Investment in Hong Kong as an Asian bond portfolio manager. Thomas subsequently held several senior positions including Investment Director of Fixed Income at Prudential Asset Management in Singapore, Director of Asian Fixed Income and Currency at Credit Suisse Asset Management in Singapore, Director of Offshore Investment at ICBC Credit Suisse Asset Management Beijing, and Head of Asian Debt Investment at Baring Asset Management in Hong Kong.
Thomas joined Harvest Global Investments in 2012 and has served as CIO since 2015 and as CEO since 2021.
Thomas holds an M.A. in Economics and a B.Comm in Finance from the University of Toronto. He is a CFA charterholder and a Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA).
Ka Leong Lo, CFA, CESGA

Ka Leong (KL) joined Harvest Global Investments in June 2018 as an investment analyst covering consumer and auto sectors. Prior to joining Harvest, Ka Leong spent more than 10 years working at top-ranked consumer, auto and small- and mid-cap research teams at Maybank Kim Eng Securities, Religare Capital Markets, Samsung Securities and HSBC. Prior to his sell-side career, he was a telecom engineer at Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI), China UTStarcom and Australia EMS Technology.
Ka Leong graduated from University of Sydney with Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Engineering. He is a CFA charterholder and a Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA).
Alice Yang, CPA, CESGA

Alice joined Harvest Global Investments in August 2015, covering the internet sector. Before joining Harvest, Alice worked in a top-ranked internet research team in Macquarie Capital Securities, where she covered subsectors such as e-commerce, online advertising and online content. Before moving into equity research and investment, Alice worked for KPMG (Hong Kong).
Alice holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Economics & Finance and a Master’s Degree of Finance from the University of Hong Kong. She is a CPA of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA).
Hebe Zhou, CFA, CESGA

Jingyu Zhou (Hebe) joined HGI in December 2021 as an investment analyst, covering industrials, renewables, traditional energy, materials, and property sectors. Prior to joining Harvest, Hebe worked for HSBC for 4 years as equity research analyst in the top-ranking Utilities research team (No.1 in 2017-2021 Asiamoney polls). Prior to HSBC, Hebe worked at China Merchants Securities (HK) as equity research associate covering sectors such as internet, insurance, and oil & gas.
Hebe graduated from University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) with Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Environmental Studies, and Columbia University with Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) with a focus on Environmental Science and Policy. She is a CFA charterholder and a Certified ESG Analyst (CESGA).
