The following role provide undergraduate women internship opportunities to gain experience within the Investment Management Industry.

FinArc Investments

FinArc investments is an independent wealth management firm located in Norwood, Mass. Founded in 1990 by Catherine Friend White, from the start FinArc has focused on serving women investors, sustainable investors and entrepreneurs. Wealth Manager Intern

 

Responsibilities and Duties

Working in a small business allows each member of our team to make an impact at the firm level. This intern will work closely with client service liaisons, our security analyst and wealth managers, including our president/owner. Planned training and responsibilities include business and investment operations, client service, stock research, mutual fund research, and personal financial planning. The intern will gain experience and understanding of the varied functional roles within wealth management and how they fit together at the firm level. This role can be tailored to the intern’s strengths and interests that fit with the firm’s needs.

Qualifications

  • The applicant should be a rising junior or senior seeking her bachelor’s degree;
  • Knowledge of and interest in working in wealth management;
  • Good judgement and professionalism;
  • Independent, intellectually curious and proactive;
  • Highly organized and strong attention to detail;
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, internally and with clients;
  • Comfortable learning and using new technologies (e.g. CRM, portfolio management, etc.)
  • The intern must satisfy criminal and OFAC background checks.
     
Successful applicant must have a car to drive to our office which is located at 3 Edgewater Drive, Norwood, MA 02062. Anticipated start date is June 1 and end date is August 15 depending on the applicant’s availability. Hours are 9-5 M-Fr. Compensation will be at an hourly market rate.
